Monday.

So I postponed a lot of my summer sewing projects because the english weather has been somewhat dissappointing. It usually gets a lot warmer around this time of year.

But I’ve finally had a think about prints. I made a few samples the other day, and sketched out some ideas that I’ll be showing you guys soon.

Also suddenly really into Brigitte Bardot at the moment. So fresh and sexy I literally just want to be her!

Thinking about summer.

At about this time of year I start thinking about the summer. My inspiration lies more in summery prints than wooly sweaters and I start becoming increasingly frustrated with the british weather. I start wishing my tan would return and I’d stop looking like a ghost. Sewing my summer clothes now will keep me going until it actually arrives. Here in britain we crave summer more because every year our summers are very short lived, so we cherish those summer moments, with ice cream and fish & chips by the great british country seaside.

I’ll be road tripping along the southern coast with my best mates bekah and fillippo this summer so it’s important I start creating things I can wear. Easy, casual and hopefully won’t have to pack to much. Pretty and minimal is what I’m after.

Must not forget the infamous british festivals I’ll be going to this year… Latitude, Glasto and Creamfields. Too much!

Now I will sit here and daydream about heat and mr wippy while it rains outside my window.
